PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY. BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT ON DOPTIES OR BY ACCESSING THE SERVICES, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF USE AND ALL POLICIES INCORPORATED IN IT AND AS AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF USE, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS AND/OR USE THE SERVICES.
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use along with Privacy Policy or other terms constitute a binding agreement by and between Rusio Ventures LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 with its registered office at Rusio Ventures LLP, Balewadi, SNo 17 PL No 05, OP P STP Software, N.I.A., Pune, Pune City, Maharashtra, India, 411045. (“We” or “Us” or “Our”) and you (“User”, “You” or “Your”). User may mean a lister or an adopter as the context may require. These Terms govern Your access and/or use of the website “www.dopties.com” including any mobile application that may be introduced in the future and all related services (collectively “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, You acknowledge that You have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms and Use and the Privacy Policy. If You do not agree, You are not authorised to access and/or use the Platform.
Dopties is an online platform that provides identity and lifecycle infrastructure for pets. It enables verified digital pet identity, trust validation and adoption lifecycle management. The Platform operates through a registry layer, which maintains persistent digital identities for pets, recording lifecycle events and facilitates the adoption process between listers and adopters. Pet listing, adoption facilitation, verification, pet profile management, organisation, profiles, poster generation, reporting and support functionalities offered through the Platform, as updated from time to time.
The Platform and its Services are available exclusively to users located in India only.
2. User Eligibility
You may only access and/or use the Services if You are an individual over the age of 18 (Eighteen) years. By registering or using the Platform, You represent and warrant that You are at least 18 (Eighteen) years of age as on that day. We reserve the right to request verification of Your age at any time and to terminate Your account if You are found to be below the minimum age. Access and/or use of the Platform is strictly prohibited for individuals below the age of 18 (Eighteen) years.
3. User Account and Registration
To access and/or use features of the Platform, the User is required to register and create a user account (“User Account”). The registration is completed through email/password authentication. For registration, mandatory fields include Your email address and password. After registration, users complete their profile with their full name, city and date of birth In case if you fail to enter the requisite data in the relevant fields, You may not be able to access or use certain features of the Platform.
Each User may hold only 1 (One) User Account on the Platform, You may not register an account on behalf of another person.
By registering, the User agrees to provide accurate, truthful, current and complete information and to promptly update such information to ensure its continued accuracy and completeness. You must keep Your login credentials confidential shall not sell, transfer, share or otherwise make Your User Account information or credentials available to any third party. You are responsible for all activity under Your account, including any unauthorized use. You must promptly notify Us at support@dopties.com of any actual or suspected unauthorized access to Your account. Dopties shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from Your failure to maintain the confidentiality of Your login credentials.
The Platform requires identity verification for all listers, address verification for private rehoming listings and rescue capability approval for rescue-type listings, which will be granted at the Platform's discretion. Rescue organisations granted capability approval may access adopter data only for the purpose of the specific adoption enquiry for which it was shared and for no other purpose. Unverified listings remain in draft and are not publicly visible. Private rehoming listings additionally require that the pet is sterilised and vaccinated at the time of listing. Rescue listings carry no fee and will continue to be offered at no charge, regardless of any future changes to the private listing fee structure. When private listing fees are introduced in a future phase, payment of the applicable per-listing fee will unlock the lister's guardian capability, which is a persistent credential recognising verified private pet owners on the Platform.
User identity is disclosed progressively through the adoption lifecycle. Before an enquiry, only the lister's first name and city are visible. Upon enquiry submission, the lister gains access to the adopter's full name, city and adoption intent, the adopter receives no additional lister information at this stage. Upon acceptance, both parties receive each other's details such as email which remain permanently accessible. No verification documents, addresses, or full profiles are disclosed automatically at any stage. Users may voluntarily share additional information at their own discretion.
If introduced in the future, marketing or promotional communications will require Your explicit opt-in consent, separate from Your acceptance of these Terms. Consent may be withdrawn at any time via account settings or the unsubscribe link included in any communication. The Platform will not send promotional messages to users who have not opted in.
User personal data will not be disclosed to private complainants under any circumstances. Data will only be shared with third parties, including law enforcement or regulatory authorities upon receipt of a valid court order, police complaint, or notice from a competent authority and only to the extent required by such order or notice.
4. Products and Services
This Platform offers a variety of pet-related products and services, including but not limited to adoption, verification, pet profiles, poster generation and reporting.
All products and services offered are subject to availability and governed by these Terms of Use, applicable Platform policies (including cancellation, return and exchange policies) and, where relevant, any agreement or confirmation executed between the User and the Platform at the time of purchase or booking.
The scope, pricing and specifications of each service or product are based on the information provided by the User at the time of availing such service. Dopties shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information furnished by the User.
Dopties reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue any product or service at its sole discretion, without prior notice.
5. User Content and Sharing
The Users may download and share adoption posters generated through the Platform for active listings, share links to public pet listing pages and share Platform authored educational or informational content. Users may not share, distribute, or externally publish another User's personal data including contact information, identity details, or adoption related communications obtained through the Platform without that User's explicit consent. The Platform is not responsible for the use of voluntarily shared information once disclosed by the sharing User.
You waive any moral rights which You may have in the content published on the Platform, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
You agree to access and/or use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Use. Without limiting the generality of foregoing, the following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or termination of Your User Account.
Harassment and Abuse: Engaging in any form of harassment, bullying, stalking, threatening, or abusive conduct toward any user, including listers, adopters and service providers.
Impersonating and Misrepresentation: Impersonating a rescue organisation, NGO, or verified service provider and misrepresenting pet medical records, vaccination history, or behavioural traits, identity, address, or any other information submitted during the Platform's verification process.
Misinformation and False Content: Creating, uploading, or disseminating false, misleading, or deceptive information during the verification process, including but not limited to misinformation intended to mislead users or the public.
Privacy Violations: Unauthorised sharing of private information or media obtained through the Platform's adoption lifecycle features including sharing another user's personal data such as contact information, identity details, or adoption-related communications, with external parties without that User's written consent.
Platform Misuse and Security Violations: Bypassing any verification, eligibility, or compliance requirements enforced by the Platform, attempting to access, extract, or manipulate Platform data through any method other than the Platform's provided interface or unauthorised scraping, extraction, or commercial use of platform data and pet identities.
Listing Quality Violations: Creating listings that fail to meet the Platform’s mandatory quality and data standards.
Payment Circumvention: Charging adopters any fee, whether directly or through external means, for the adoption of animals listed on the Platform. When the Platform introduces a designated payment mechanism, all applicable fees must be processed exclusively through that mechanism.
Prohibited Commercial Activities: Listing animals for the purpose of commercial breeding, sale or advertising, promoting backyard breeding, puppy mill operations, or any non-rescue-related animal sales, facilitating animal trades or placements that bypass the Platform's responsible adoption framework.
Dopties reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of the foregoing prohibitions and to take appropriate actions, including but not limited to suspension or termination of Your User Account.
7. Payment and Premium Features
All features of the Platform are currently available to users at no charge. By registering and using the Platform, You acknowledge and agree that the Platform may, at its discretion, introduce subscription fees, listing fees, or other charges for access to any feature or service. The Users will be notified in advance of the transition to paid features. Access and/or use to such options will require payment of applicable fees.
The following terms will apply when paid features are introduced:
Guardian Listing Fees: Users who list privately owned pets for rehoming on the Platform shall be required to pay a non-refundable fee on a per-listing basis for the purpose of the verification and establishing the credentialing services of the Platform, as specified by the Platform from time to time.
Premium Features: Optional paid features, including premium poster generation (including enhanced or styled formats) and other feature-specific purchases. Access to such features shall be subject to payment of the applicable fees as displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase.
The payment features shall be facilitated through a third party payment gateway which will be approved by Dopties. The Users shall be governed by the terms of use and privacy policy of the third party payment gateway providers.
All fees, charges and payments made on or through the Platform, including but not limited to guardian listing fees and purchases of posters, are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. Once a transaction has been successfully completed, no refunds, cancellations, or credits shall be provided under any circumstances, except where such refund is required under applicable law.
All prices and fees are subject to change at Our discretion. Any such changes will be communicated to You prior to taking effect, in accordance with applicable laws. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties and levies on purchases made through the Platform, including GST and other statutory charges. All refund and return policies applicable to transactions on the Platform are governed by and shall comply with the applicable laws in force from time to time.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
We and Our licensors own all rights, title and interest in and to the Services, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade names, service marks, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights and any goodwill associated therewith. This includes, but is not limited to, the artistic and graphical design of the Services and layout of the Platform.
Except as expressly permitted in the Terms of Use and offered by the Services’ functionality, You shall not copy, distribute, display or perform publicly, sublicense, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, reduce to human readable form, make available to the public, adapt, make commercial use of, process, compile, translate, sell, lend, rent, combine with other software, modify or create derivative works of the Services, any part thereof or any of the content on or of the Services (except for Your own content that You yourself created), whether directly or through any third party, in any way or by any means, including, but not limited to electronic, mechanical or optical means.
You shall not adapt, use or register any domain name, any name, mark or logo that is similar to Our marks and logos. You further agree to refrain from any action or omission which may dilute, or tarnish, or otherwise harm Our goodwill.
Dopties may, at its sole discretion, restrict or terminate any User Account for suspected or repeated infringement of intellectual property rights.
9. Privacy Policy
We respect Your privacy. Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference, explains what We collect and how We use, process and protect information through the Platform.

The Platform discloses user information progressively through the adoption lifecycle, as described in the User Account and Registration section. Verification documents, addresses and full profiles are never shared automatically between Users. Users may voluntarily share additional information at their own discretion. The Platform will clearly indicate when any content is private versus shared and You retain full control over what information You choose to disclose.
The Platform has appointed a Grievance Officer, Ruhama Ahale, email support@dopties.com to address complaints and grievances raised by users. The Grievance Officer shall acknowledge receipt of any complaint within 24 (Twenty-Four) hours and shall dispose of such complaint within 90 (Ninety) days from the date of its receipt. Complaints may be submitted to the Grievance Officer at: support@dopties.com.
10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Identity verification for listing activation and address verification for private listing activation is mandatory. However, such measures do not constitute any endorsement or guarantee and users remain solely responsible for independently verifying all relevant information before taking custody of any animal.
Dopties do not take legal custody, ownership, or physical possession of any animals. The Platform facilitates introductions between listers and adopters and it is not a party to any custody transfer.
The Platform makes no representations or warranties regarding the health, temperament, or behaviour of any animal and disclaims all liability for any health or behavioural issues, physical injury to any person, or damage to property caused by an animals, whether arising prior to, at the time of, or after adoption. Users are required to confirm all pet health records and vaccine status before taking custody. Medical information on listings is based on lister provided data and Platform screening, but the Platform does not guarantee accuracy.
The Platform does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any user provided listings or pet profiles and disclaims all liability arising from reliance on such information.
The Platform does not endorse, warrant, or assume any liability for the quality, reliability, or performance of services provided by third party vendors listed on the Platform.
The Platform may provide links to third-party websites and external resources, including educational content, pet care guides, NGO websites, partner promotions and external service providers. The Platform has no control over the content, accuracy, safety, or privacy practices of such external sites or resources and disclaims all liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of or reliance on any third-party links or resources accessed through the Platform. Users are subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of any third-party website or resource they access through the Platform and are responsible for reviewing such terms before engaging with external services or providing personal information to third parties. Accessing third-party links is done entirely at the user's own risk and users are responsible for reviewing all applicable third-party legal documentation before engaging with external services or providing personal information to third parties.
Users assume all risks arising from or related to any in-person meetings, interactions, or animal transfers arranged through the Platform and the Platform disclaims all liability in this regard.
The Platform does not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation and disclaims liability for any data loss, interception, or breach arising from transmission over networks or from system downtime, maintenance, or technical failures.
Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy and appropriateness of all content they upload including photos, descriptions and other submissions. The Platform disclaims any liability arising therefrom.
Verification documents, including identity and address proof are not shared between users. The Platform conducts verification via internal review and only displays status indicators, while such documents remain accessible solely to the submitting user and authorized Platform administrators/moderators.
11. Suspension, Termination and Cancellation
These Terms of Use will continue to apply until terminated by either You or by Us. You may end Your agreement with Us at any time for any reason by deactivating Your User Account and discontinuing Your access and/or use of the Platform. However, the terms of Terms of Use which survive general expiration shall continue to govern You. You agree that We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate Your User Account on the Platform if We suspect any violation of the Terms of Use or any applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, animal welfare concerns, or circumvention of verification requirements with notice provided wherever feasible except in cases requiring immediate action. User data may be retained including adoption records and moderation history for legal compliance and registry integrity. Upon account termination, personal data will be processed for deletion within 30 (Thirty) days. Government ID and address verification documents are purged within 90 (Ninety) days of successful verification, or within 30 (Thirty) days if the verification submission is rejected. General enquiry messages and interaction logs are retained for a maximum period of 7 (Seven) years from the date of enquiry closure. Other personal data and verification documents are deleted or anonymised in accordance with Our data retention schedule.
12. Notices
All notices will be delivered electronically via: (a) Platform announcements; (b) email to Your registered address. You may send us notice at: support@dopties.com.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: These Terms of Use and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use shall be interpreted, enforced and governed by the laws of India. If any terms of these Terms of Use are for any reason found to be unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms of Use will continue in full force and effect.
Dispute Resolution: All disputes and differences arising out of or in connection with any of the matters set out in these Terms of Use (“Dispute”), shall be resolved by amicable settlement. However, if the Dispute is not resolved by amicable settlement, it shall be finally and conclusively determined within Thirty (30) from the failure to reach an amicable settlement by arbitration by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the Parties to the Dispute, in accordance with the laws of India.
The arbitration shall be conducted in English and the seat and venue of arbitration shall be Pune, India. All known claims and counterclaims shall at the time any arbitration is commenced, be consolidated and determined in the same arbitration proceeding.
The arbitral award rendered by the arbitrator shall be in writing and in addition to dealing with the merits of the case, fix the costs of the arbitration and decide which of the Parties thereto shall bear such costs or in what proportions such costs shall be borne by such Parties. Nothing shall preclude any Party from seeking interim or permanent equitable or injunctive relief, or both, from the competent courts, having jurisdiction to grant relief on any such Dispute(s).
14. Changes to Terms
We may change the terms of these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify You through email and in-app notification. We may assign or transfer Our agreement with You including any associated rights and obligations at any time and You agree to cooperate with Us in connection with such an assignment or transfer. We recommend that You periodically check Our policy for any revised terms. Your continued use of the services will be deemed to constitute Your acceptance of all such revised terms. For material changes (liability, payment, data usage, user rights) the Platform will require affirmative consent on next login. The Platform will provide reasonable advance notice (minimum 15 days) before material changes take effect. Users who do not accept updated terms will be unable to continue using the Platform.
